Kate Donovan ‘26

Position: President

Pronouns: she/her

Major: Health Science - Communication Sciences and Disorders

Extracurriculars: Zeta Tau Alpha, 26 Point Ambassadors, Campus Visit Ambassador, ¶¶ÒõÂþ»­ Dance Company, Residence Life (RA) 

Fun Fact: I helped found the first female Scouting America troop in my hometown, where I earned my Life Scout rank!

Why did you join USG? I joined USG because I wanted to continue making an impact on campus. I wanted to be a voice for the students, advocate for everyone's needs and desires, and create a support system for them. I also joined to ensure that all our students feel supported and that we can continue to make ¶¶ÒõÂþ»­'s campus even better than it already is!

 

 


Emily Alonge ‘27

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to become more connected to the student population and serve my campus community. I enjoy working with others to find solutions and create a better environment for my fellow students. 


Ashley De La Cruz ‘28

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to address important concerns students may have on campus!

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to advocate for student needs, as well as make an impact on the ¶¶ÒõÂþ»­ campus.

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to help connect with my student body and actually have their suggestions become initiatives. I love ¶¶ÒõÂþ»­ and I want to do as much as I can to help our campus grow and flourish! USG has become my creative outlet, and I LOVE making videos and graphics for the student body! 


Katie Appleman ‘27

Position: VP of Internal operations and VP of club Sports

Major: History Education with a Political Science Minor

Fun Fact: I do the worm every opportunity I get. 

Why did you join USG? I joined USG so I could be part of a family that can make real change on campus for students like me. To the initiatives passed groups have made, and the ones currently in motion I have seen a lot of good, and I wanted to be a part of it.

Aspen Bradley ‘28

Position: Senator for Inclusive Excellence

Major: Counseling Psychology

Extracurriculars: I am vice president of spectrum and a part of many of our affinity clubs on campus!

Fun Fact: I am able to spin fire poi and have since I was 9

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to support the student body through collaborating with the center for inclusive excellence. I believe it’s important for campus to be safe and comfortable for everyone  regardless of how they identify or express themselves

Why did you join USG? I was looking for a way to be more involved on campus and I wanted to be able to be a voice for different students concerns, wants and needs on campus.


Ethan Custard ‘28

Position: South Campus Representative

Major: Music

Extracurriculars: Other than USG, I am in the ¶¶ÒõÂþ»­ Community Orchestra, Baroque Ensemble, and I am currently taking on top of my main cello lessons, piano and trumpet lessons. 

Fun Fact: My favorite soda is Dr. Pepper and my second favorite is this orange soda I had when I traveled to France called Orangina. 

Why did you join USG? To help make a difference.


Ryan Demarest ‘28

Major: Computer Science/ Sound and Audio Engineering. 

Extracurriculars: Big Band, Orchestra, Choir, USG, was in Finance Club.

Fun Fact: I have 3 guinea pigs over 70 blankets and LOVE CHICKEN TENDER FRIDAYS

Why did you join USG? It sounded like a great place where I could help to make a difference as well as help out the student body.

Why did you join USG? I wanted to try a new experience on campus that I hadn't tried before

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to become more involved, develop more connections and also be able to represent the study body to help make our campus better than it is!

Why did you join USG? I joined USG because I felt that it could be an outlet for me to help make a difference in the university community.

Why did you join USG? I think that USG gives me the opportunity to play a bigger role in ¶¶ÒõÂþ»­ and be more involved around the campus.

Why did you join USG? I joined USG to meet other students and become more involved on campus! I wanted to be able to help the community and I believe it is important for students to be comfortable within their environment.

Fun Fact: My pet guinea pig gave birth on my sister's chest (we had no idea it was prepregnant)..

Why did you join USG? I wanted to join an organization that shared my commitment to leadership and service. I am also passionate about road safety and the importance of public transportation.

Why did you join USG? I was interested in being more involved with students who commute and making sure they are comfortable and content and hear their thoughts about student life on campus. A friend also suggested I join USG because of more leadership roles.

Why did you join USG? I wanted to be able to hear more about my fellow students' experiences on campus while also being able to improve certain aspects of campus life!

Fun Fact: I can read all three music clefs and play at least one instrument from each clef.

Why did you join USG? I want to make the community environment better and help my class!
